URBAN ROJECT/ RIGA KIPSALA

This project explores the transformation of an underused urban void in Kīpsala, Riga, into an inclusive living environment connected to the university, the river and the city. Through selective densification and a mixed-use urban structure, the proposal redefines the existing boundary as a habitable and programmed urban threshold. Public ground floors, pedestrian and cyclist networks, and shared open spaces support everyday social interaction for students, residents and visitors alike. By integrating vacant land, architecture and landscape, the project mediates between academic life, the waterfront and the wider urban context.
