Descripción

The project aims to transform this part of the Debnik district into a car-free, pedestrian-friendly environment. A major multi-lane road currently divides the area and separates it from the riverfront. This barrier is resolved through a road underpass, allowing the street above to become a wide boulevard for pedestrians and cyclists.

The idea of the project is to transform this area of the Debnik district into a car-free, pedestrian-friendly environment. The neighborhood is currently divided by a large multi-lane road intersection and separated from the riverfront. To overcome this barrier, a road underpass was designed, allowing this section of the street to be converted into a wide boulevard for pedestrians and cyclists. To further reduce car traffic, an underground metro line was introduced. Since most streets in the surrounding neighborhood are restricted to residents or delivery traffic, a public underground parking garage was planned to accommodate remaining vehicle needs. Green zones were implemented as buffer spaces, acting as an urban filter between traffic and residential areas. In addition, existing green spaces were expanded and interconnected to create a continuous landscape. New buildings were introduced to densify the urban fabric and to serve as a barrier protecting the district from street traffic. A hotel was developed in response to the congress center located across the street. At the same time, new residential spaces were created, integrating architecture with nature and significantly enhancing the quality of life in the area. Overall, the project reconnects the district with its natural surroundings while prioritizing sustainable mobility and livable public space.
