The proposed solution transforms the waterfront by rerouting through traffic to a parallel road, shifting the main artery inland. This liberates space for new green recreational areas and services. The area will be densified with perimeter-block residential buildings along the new main street, inspired by Manel de Solà-Morales' Les Casernes de Sant Andreu project. This layout features open blocks that combine dense urban fabric with permeability, creating numerous connections to the river. Key priorities include introducing a new tram line to prioritize public transport, creating a dedicated fast bicycle route along the water, and enhancing pedestrian movement with a continuous promenade. The outcome is a new network of vibrant public green spaces seamlessly connected to the city center.
