In order to make a quality urban space, it is obligatory to put the human’s necessities first. People’s happiness depends on quality of their city, of their environment. The cities exist due to human necessities and are based on them. However, development of technology, faster lifestyle, changed human habits, economy crisis somehow affected the cities in a way that healthy and pleasant urban spaces have disappeared. Children are left with no choice but to play next to the busy streets and loud traffic crowd. Sports fields and parks are being converted to the shopping malls and parking spaces. And yet, there is a problem with the lack of parking spaces. The growth of population is inevitable, and is necessary to provide them a place to live and work, which is giving us the opportunity to build and make an amazing architecture. But it does not leave the space for doing urbanism. On the contrary, it is making it worse. Infrastructure is remaining unchanged while suffering bigger pressures. City planning demands detailed, thorough and hard work which is why is difficult to follow the high speed of changing human lifestyle.

The cities need to be flexible, to be able to offer to its citizens the opportunity to easily ride a bike, walk, drive a car, to work, to play, to live. The compactness of one city is the balance between quality and quantity of architecture and urban spaces. Architecture and urbanism should interlace, cooperate with each other. Building are necesary for forming one square, one important public space. Roads, paths, sidewalks are necessary for enabling the use of buildings. Urbanism and architecture need each other.
