Description

The project transforms an underused industrial site in Bordeaux into a connected, green, and active urban area. Abandoned industrial buildings are reused and linked through elevated walkways, while new residential blocks adopt the same strategy, creating a cohesive network of buildings and social spaces. Mobility is reorganized through an underground bus system, freeing the surface for pedestrians, cyclists, and green areas, while new bike routes and boat connections improve access to the wider city. A communal garden and central park form the social and ecological core of the site, encouraging interaction and fostering community life. Overall, the design integrates reuse, connectivity, green infrastructure, and social spaces, reconnecting the site with its surroundings, enhancing accessibility, and creating a lively, sustainable, and inclusive urban environment.
