Utopia

This project envisions a future Malmö that coexists with water instead of resisting it. The city transforms into an amphibious urban organism-flexible, sustainable, and climate-responsive, where water becomes a source of life, energy, and identity. The proposal introduces floating sponge districts, living waterfront edges, and amphibious architecture that adapts to tides and changing conditions. It integrates water and energy cycles into an urban ecosystem that breathes, regenerates, and redefines the relationship between people, nature, and the city.

Uses

This work analyzes the distribution of land uses and public facilities in Malmö. It identifies the main urban functions, their spatial relationships, and patterns of accessibility and visibility within the city. The analysis highlights the functional diversity and potential areas of conflict or opportunity, providing a base for future urban interventions.
